Land Indices from Valuer General Victoria

Angela Germech has been provided with the following information from the Valuer-General,
and hospitals may wish to avail them of their services.

For units seeking indices, Initial contact can be made via email with claire.williamson@dse.vic.gov.au
Claire will coordinate the requests for the Asset Valuation section here at VGV and make sure requests are dealt with in a orderly and prompt fashion.

Units need to advise VGV of who they are and exactly what they are seeking. Contact details are essential so we can confirm information etc.
The information VGV will need should be in an excel spreadsheet format - the column headings should include the following:

The spreadsheet needs to contain a full set of the relevant data. VGV will supply the index figures by inserting the respective factor
in the Index factor column (Right hand side).
We can then send back the spreadsheet electronically via email.

The standard fee charged to departments and agencies is - $80 per Postcode. This is to cover the time and costs of the people who
we contract to provide the information to allow us to develop the factors.

In terms of Valuations for Financial Reporting, VGV already project manage the revaluations of a number of health organisations across the State.
For more information on how VGV can assist with revaluations under AASB116 and the DTF FRD103 guidance notes, you can visit the VGV website at
www.land.vic.gov.au/valuation

  1. Click on Valuations for Government Property Transactions.
  2. Click on Asset Valuations for Government.

Following that you should see a lot of information about FR valuations.
I understand the web site will be updated soon to be a little more user friendly.

Hoping this helps out
regards

Graeme Balfour
